Continuous Cogeneration with Methane or Natural Gas Engines

There has been much increased focus lately on sustainability, carbon footprint, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy efficiency. For water/wastewater treatment plants the easiest choice to make an immediate impact on all of these issues is to capture and maximize the generation and usage of methane gas. produced by the anaerobic digesters or adjacent landfileds.

To better utilize the methen gas, the gas may be used to produce electricity in a cogeneration process. Along with efficient use of the gas for energy. Cogeneration technology options include engine generators, gas turbines, and fuel cells.
